Kytun supplies dry fix roofing systems, aluminium rainwater systems and roofline products to builders’ merchants and commercial construction projects across Ireland and the UK.

Behind every on-time delivery is a team committed to safety, accuracy and reliability – including Delivery Driver and Forklift Instructor Gary Hunter. Because at Kytun, performance doesn’t stop at the factory door.

It continues on the road, across Ireland, on sites, in merchant yards and on commercial projects where timing matters and reputations are on the line.

And that’s where Gary Hunter comes in.

Gary has been a driving force behind Kytun’s operational reliability since 2017, delivering products safely, on time, and exactly as specified to merchants and commercial construction sites across the UK and Ireland.

Gary knows he’s not just moving materials. He’s protecting schedules, supporting installers and being the face of Kytun.

And if you’ve ever had a tight turnaround on a commercial build, you’ll know how valuable that is.

Gary Delivers…

Gary transports finished products directly from our Donegal manufacturing facility to:

  • Builders’ merchants
  • Roofing contractors
  • Commercial project sites
  • Public sector developments

That includes:

Many of these support projects for customers in key sectors, including:

From palletised stock deliveries to time-critical site drops, Gary ensures installers have exactly what they need, when they need it.

Because reliability isn’t a promise. It’s built into our process.

More Than a Driver

Gary’s role extends well beyond transport.

As Kytun’s certified Forklift Instructor, he trains colleagues in safe and compliant equipment operation. That means we have:

  • Strong safety culture
  • Reduced risk
  • Improved operational efficiency
  • Higher internal standards

Gary oversees twice weekly equipment inspections, practical training and procedural discipline. It’s all part of maintaining the professional, performance-led reputation our customers expect.

The Journey

Gary joined Kytun on the manufacturing floor before progressing through the spraying division and into a driving role. Determined to develop further, he completed his Forklift Instructor certification, expanding both his skillset and his impact.

That progression reflects something important about Kytun: opportunity. Hard work here isn’t overlooked. It’s backed.

What Matters Most

Ask Gary what makes the busy days worth it, and the answer is simple:

The customers.

He loves being the face of the business, building relationships with merchants and site teams and knowing that deliveries arrived safely and on time.

Whether that results in a quiet thank you or a quick cup of tea, Gary’s hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.

Proud Moments

After completing his training, Gary takes particular pride in seeing colleagues confidently and safely operate forklifts, knowing improved safety standards, better compliance and a stronger operational flow are good for everyone.

It’s performance you don’t always see, but you absolutely feel.

Outside of Work

When he’s not on the road, Gary is a passionate steam train enthusiast and regularly visits the National Railway Museum. We’d say there’s lots of crossover there with his love of engineering heritage, precision mechanics and machines that are built to last.

He also works part-time as a First Aid Responder at festivals and events, developing calmness under pressure and rapid decision-making skills that serve him well in his day-to-day role.

Kytun: Built on People

Every system we manufacture, from dry fix roofing to aluminium rainwater, depends on people who care about the details.

We’re all performance-led, safety-focused and customer-first – and Gary is no different.

It’s where Kytun confidence comes from. You can rely on it.
