Situated on the exposed coastline of Pollen Bay along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, this project involved the design, manufacture, and installation of sustainable roofing for five architecturally distinct homes.

To meet the client’s net-zero targets on this stunning coastal development, we carefully reviewed the architect’s vision and collaborated closely with our contract partner to develop a sustainable, high-performance roofing solution.

A zinc roof was selected not only for its durability and resistance to the harsh coastal elements but also for its ability to integrate seamlessly with solar applications, helping future-proof the homes while meeting sustainability goals. Key design-led solutions included the installation of AluSwift Secret-Fix box gutters and square downpipes, which aligned with the architect’s clean, modern aesthetic.

A wide range of bespoke aluminium and zinc components were also supplied and fitted, including AluSwift cappings, downpipes, custom flashings, and fascia solutions, ensuring every detail was tailored to both function and form.
