Rockpoint is a premium residential development delivering 91 high-specification apartments in the heart of Blackrock Village. Designed by TODD Architects and constructed by Townmore Construction, the scheme combines modern architecture with a focus on precision detailing.

Our brief was to design, manufacture, and install a bespoke rainwater management system that would complement the building’s zinc roof profile and integrated balconies while meeting demanding programme deadlines. The system had to deliver long-term durability, flawless aesthetics, and seamless integration with the overall façade design.

Key challenges included:

  • Custom dimensions to suit complex roof geometries and balcony junctions.
  • Strict sequencing to align installation with other trades during a fast-paced construction programme.
  • Architectural precision to achieve perfect alignment and colour matching with zinc cladding and façade elements.

Our Solution

We engineered a fully bespoke AluSwift Downpipe and Hopper system tailored to Rockpoint’s unique requirements. From design through to installation, every stage of the process was managed in-house to ensure complete quality control and delivery on time.

Key steps in our approach:

  • Collaborative design: Our technical team worked alongside TODD Architects and Townmore Construction to refine dimensions and detailing, ensuring the rainwater system integrated seamlessly with the building envelope.
  • Precision manufacturing: Using state-of-the-art fabrication processes, we produced custom profiles and components with consistent tolerances to guarantee durability and a high-quality finish.
  • Color matching and finish control: All components were powder-coated to complement the zinc roof and balcony elements, ensuring a uniform appearance across the façade.
  • Phased installation: Our on-site installation team coordinated closely with other contractors to install the system in carefully timed segments, avoiding clashes with ongoing structural and cladding works.

The result is a discreet yet high-performing gutter and hopper solution that enhances both the functional efficiency and architectural elegance of the development.
